
The Swedish artist Lena A. Linderholm and her husband Gosta, a musician and artist, live and have their base in the idyllic small town of Waxholm in Stockholm's beautiful archipelago. Lena paints and runs her gallery Galleri Lena Linderholm, and it is here that their creative world revolves. They also like to travel they either spend time at their atelier in Harjedalen in the north of Sweden,their villa in Strangnas, or in France where their true inspiration and creative ideas are born. Provence is nearly always their destination. Lena paints non-stop, with an oil or water color always on the go. Soaking in inspiration from her surroundings, the light, fruit, flowers, people, animals, mountains and valleys, lavender fields and olive trees, each of which are capured at some point in her work. Her brush is filled with a mix of northern light and southern warmth. Lena also works with a porcelain factory in Italy and one in Portugal so there are handmade and hand painted ceramics all with motifs from her intesive world of color. In collaboration with Rydboholm, a company in Boras, Sweden, she designs fabric and her designs also includes trays, napkins and towels. Another project in the Linderholm world is writing books. These have been extremely popular. Here the reader can relish in a potpourri of the good things in life- recepies, wine tips, stories, songs, poetry, all beautifully illustrated with pictures, sketches and photos by both Lena and Gosta.
